Seoul Food, Korea’s largest food exhibition, made its international debut with Seoul Food in Bangkok 2024, held from October 18 to October 20, 2024. This groundbreaking event combined a B2B exhibition and a B2C pop-up store, showcasing the best of Korean food to a global audience.
The B2B exhibition brought together over 300 major distributors and retailers from ASEAN and South Asia, including prominent names like CP Group and Central Department Stores in Thailand. Meanwhile, the B2C pop-up store, running until November 3, aimed to engage local consumers directly, offering a unique taste of Korean products.
As a specialized global trade platform, Tridge played a pivotal role in ensuring the event’s success. Our activities at Seoul Food in Bangkok 2024 focused on three key areas:
Tridge actively engaged with distributors and retailers across Thailand and ASEAN, facilitating export consultations and expanding sales channels for Korean food products. Our presence highlighted the vast potential for Korean agri-food products in Southeast Asia.
The Tridge Pavilion showcased a diverse range of Korean products from Jeollanam-do, Geumsan-gwan, and ITA, introducing local buyers to premium K-Food items like yuzu juice, seaweed aids, and Korean snacks. Our Youpick platform further emphasized Tridge’s innovative retail solutions, creating new opportunities for collaboration.
Through direct interaction with local consumers and buyers, Tridge gained valuable insights into ASEAN food trends and consumer preferences. This knowledge will support our strategies for market localization and the introduction of tailored K-Food solutions.
Tridge’s participation in the event was met with overwhelming success:
Our efforts also underscored Tridge’s expertise in processed food distribution, solidifying partnerships with large-scale retailers in Thailand and Vietnam.
Tridge’s involvement has set the stage for a significant expansion of Korean food products in Southeast Asia. By bridging the gap between Korean producers and ASEAN distributors, Tridge has positioned itself as a vital hub for the globalization of K-Food.
The introduction of diverse partner products, from Jeollanam-do to ITA, reinforced Tridge’s role in amplifying Korean food’s visibility in new markets. Our partnerships have laid the foundation for a sustainable K-Food presence across the region.
Seoul Food in Bangkok 2024 marked a historic milestone for Korean food exports, and Tridge’s innovative trade and retail solutions played an instrumental role in its success. As we continue to leverage our expertise and expand our network, Tridge is committed to driving K-Food’s growth in ASEAN and beyond.
