Introducing Tridge Farm Greek Kiwi

Greek kiwi is a Tridge Farm product sourced with Tridge’s global network of food specialists and brought to the Korean market.

Tridge Farm is a Tridge subsidiary, encompassing the same values and instills the same kind of trust as the parent company. The synergy between the two companies allows for strategic sourcing and partnership development and helps bridge the gap between the B2B and B2C sectors.

Tridge Farm sources products and transparentizes the entire process from farm to table through Tridge's global network of food specialists. These specialists oversee the entire process, from sourcing to data collection to quality control.

Thanks to the Tridge local managers' network, Tridge Farm can select unique products and brings them to Korean kitchens. Greek kiwi is one of those fantastic products Tridge Farm brought to Korean local marketplaces.

Challenges

One of the main challenges for this project was that Korean people are not familiar with the taste of Greek kiwi - the perfect balance between sweet and sour, which makes this fruit best enjoyed in various fruit salads, healthy smoothies, or with some tasty Greek yogurt. Also, it was a challenge to develop the idea of promoting kiwi as a Greece origin product and manifest Tridge Farm’s new brand identity.

Logo Updates for Stickers

To distinguish Greek kiwi by Tridge Farm from many others on the market Michelle Lee, our brand designer, created a logo emblem for Tridge Farm that became a part of visual language that identifies Tridge Farm. Tridge Farm’s distinctive emblem is our most recognizable brand asset. The emblem allows the flexibility needed for various shape products such as kiwi.

Michelle designed two versions of the sticker based on the emblem - green kiwi and gold kiwi sticker. The unique shape and high contrast colors stand out well on the shelf among other kiwis.

Package Design

The package design made by Jimin Heo and Michelle Lee, our creative and brand designer, serves brand awareness purposes alongside the sticker. It shares the same design language as the emblem, showcasing brand color, font, and aesthetics.

Photoshoot

To prepare for promotion of Greek kiwi, Michelle Lee planned a photoshoot for gold and green Greek kiwi to position the brand and product on the market. She used satin textile and shiny gold dessert dishes to style the set and make the product feel more premium than the usual mass-market Kiwi.

Photoshoot Planning

Promotional Video Production

As a part of the brand and product awareness campaign, Youngjae Kim, creative Media Producer, directed, planned, and filmed a creative ad for the new Tridge Farm product “Greek kiwi.” It was decided to avoid all the Greece-related cliche - columns, Olympic gods, Mediterranean Sea visuals, and focus on casual modern consumers who appreciate new tastes and are glad to learn new recipes.  He cast Andreas Varsakopoulos to introduce Greek kiwi to Korean customers. Andreas is a Greek-American who lives and performs in South Korea as a television, radio personality, and English lecturer. He is mainly known for his appearances on the TV show “Abnormal Summit” and modeling to his acting debut in the Korean sitcom “Somehow Family.”

The idea behind the promotion video is simple: if your day is dull, you can zest it with refreshing Greek kiwi taste.

Recipe Video Production

In addition to the promotion video, Youngjae Kim made a recipe video with Andreas Varsakopoulos and his friend Yeonjae making Kiwi salsa. Unlike usual kiwi, the Greek kiwi is perfect for salsa, chia pudding, and pizza topping. Those recipes are unorthodox for Korean consumers but very common in Greece.
